6 October 2012

Good afternoon my dears! I hope this day is treating you well. I'm still sounding as if I have a frog in my throat and am tiring out easily, but I do feel much better than I did.

Can y'all believe that it's October already? Pretty soon it'll be Christmas. Have you started your Christmas shopping yet? I haven't, but hopefully we'll start at least a layaway next weekend, if we have time to go shopping, that is.

Our county fair starts tomorrow. Woohoo! I love county fair time. That means fall is really here. The smell of the fair food, the animals, the crisp fall leaves, watching all the people walking around, listening to the carney's, and the ride jocks. There isn't anything else quite like it. :0) I can't wait to get my hands on some deep fried veggies, salt water taffy, and cotton candy (or floss, as some people call it). For my local friends, I know I'll definitely be there Friday and I have had someone help offer unload my scooter for me on Saturday, so I'm going to try to be there then too. :D

And now, a couple of cute photo's I've taken in the last few days. This is MoJo, the kitty we adopted last year after my dear friend, Todd, passed away unexpectedly. MoJo's name original was Morris. Todd occassionally called him MoJo, so I decided to stick with that name and to me it stands for Mo-Morris Jo=Johnston (last name), in honor of Todd. MoJo has decided he is definitely my kitty. :)

MoJo sitting in the chair we just got 3 months ago. He just started getting on the furniture a few days ago. I guess he was afraid of it at first even though Elsie (the other kitty) and Buddy (the dog) were already all over it.

Here he is on my desk, between me and the keyboard. lol He's looking at me as if he's saying "Get that camera outta my face NOW!" lol

This one was a couple of weeks ago. I'd interrupted his bath, but he was just too cute not to take the photo.

That's all for today, my dears. I hope you all have a wonderful Saturday. If you are watching the Buckeye game tonight, go BUCKS! :0) Huggles & love!

  1. I love that you are doing this. You never cease to amaze me. I love fair time as well. Unless you lived in Lancaster (born & raised), you can't appreciate all that it is. Sometimes it is the only time you see certain people. So it is a reunion of sorts. A chance to see each others families grow, catch up on the high points, or just an annual hug. Fairfield County is the last county fair for our region. I believe we are the luckiest to have it when we do. The best season of the year. I have been there in the hot, cold, rain and/or snow and the leaves in the process of changing. And of course, Homecoming weekend for LHS. Thanks for sharing my dear friend and bringing cherished memories to the fore front.

    1. It's good to know that others have pleasant memories too. One thing, when we were kids, we always knew, once we had the fair, the holidays weren't far behind and that also meant Christmas break. lol
